About Me

Hi, I’m Syreeta, a DONA certified birth doula serving families across Northern Virginia, Maryland, and D.C. for nearly four years. I’m also working toward my certification as a postpartum doula to continue supporting families beyond birth.

I’ve had the privilege of supporting women through natural, medicated, and cesarean births—each one unique, powerful, and personal.

I became a doula to help women feel confident using their voice and making choices that reflect the birth experience they want. Advocacy is a big part of my work, especially in healthcare settings where it’s easy to feel overwhelmed or unsure of what to ask. Every woman deserves a birth that feels informed, safe, and dignified.

It’s truly a joy to walk alongside growing families, offering steady support, calm reassurance, and evidence-based care from pregnancy through postpartum.

My greatest joy is supporting families as they welcome their babies into the world in an informed, safe, and supported way. Whether it’s your first or fourth birth, I’m here to offer grounded guidance, a calm presence, and care that meets you where you are.

What I do as a Doula

During Pregnancy & Birth

Provide physical comfort and support during labor
Offer emotional reassurance and a calm, steady presence
Help you feel informed and confident in your decisions
Support your partner so you both feel prepared

During Postpartum:

Support your recovery and adjustment after birth
Provide guidance with newborn care and feeding
Offer reassurance and emotional support during early parenthood
Help you feel more confident as you settle in with your baby

What is a birthing doula?

A trained and experienced non-medical labor companion, who provides women and partners continuous emotional support, physical comfort, and assistance in obtaining information before, during, and just after childbirth.

How does COVID-19 impact your services?

During this pandemic, we are in this together! Due to COVID-19 restrictions, some hospital and birth center policy may prevent in-person support. My goal remains to help you and your partner feel safe, supported, empowered and respected.
